In response to media queries regarding the arrest of a designated terrorist in Canada, MEA Official Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal issued a statement, saying that Arsh Dalla is a proclaimed offender in over 50 cases, including murder, attempted murder, extortion, and terrorist activities, such as terror financing.
He added that a Red Corner Notice was issued against Dalla in May 2022. Dalla was designated as an individual terrorist in India in 2023, and India had formally requested the Canadian government for his provisional arrest in July 2023, but the request was declined.
